Women In Tech - Zinkworks

YOUR FUTURE, YOUR WAY

We know that our female colleagues are exceptional, and that their experiences will inspire new generations of women in technology.

By sharing their stories, we want to celebrate them and their abilities, but we also want to encourage women in our local communities – and across the world – to pursue a thriving career in technology.

Fiona Malone
Delivery Director

I’m a Computer Science graduate who discovered a passion for project management early on. My career has taken me from software development into delivery leadership, with roles spanning from Developer, Team Lead, to Project Program Manager. I have worked across Telecoms, Energy, Finance, Consulting, and Pharma, gaining a broad perspective on how tech drives change, and how people and culture make it stick.

A highlight was joining a global career coaching team, which inspired me to earn a Professional Diploma in Coaching & Mentoring in 2023. Supporting others, especially women in tech, is something I am passionate about. After collaborating with Zinkworks as a customer since 2021, I was thrilled to officially join the team in 2025.

Originally from Waterford, I now live in Celbridge, Co Kildare with my husband, daughter, and our tuxedo cat, and outside work I’m hooked on padel tennis and love a good Zumba session.”

“You don’t need all the answers to move forward—just the courage to be curious, to grow, and to believe you belong.”

Eilis Casey
Finance Manager

“ I am the Finance Manager here in Zinkworks, and my career has been quite a journey. I started out in customer services over 15 years ago, gaining invaluable experience in working with people and problem-solving. After a few years living in England, I returned home to Ireland, where I trained in payroll and bookkeeping and completed an Excel course through Springboard. In July 2021, I joined Zinkworks as a Finance Administrator, and I’m now proud to be working towards my Accounts Technician Ireland qualification. I’m fortunate to have an excellent mentor and brilliant colleagues who have supported me every step of the way.

Outside of work, I like to keep life active and interesting—whether that’s going for a run, cooking up something new in the kitchen, or making the most of the outdoors. I love spending time with family and friends, and I’m always on the lookout for my next adventure.”

Adriana Vieira
Junior Java Developer

“ I’m from Brazilian, and currently work as a Junior Java Developer at Zinkworks. But my career didn’t start in tech—I was actually a nurse for many years, working in both Brazil and Ireland. After the pandemic, I felt burnt out and decided it was time for a big change. With support from my family, I enrolled in a Software Development diploma, joined Zinkworks as an apprentice, and now I’m proud to be building my future in tech.

Outside of work, I love painting, reading, exercising, camping, and pretty much anything outdoors. I also enjoy watching series and soap operas (the Brazilian roots run deep!). Creativity and curiosity are a big part of who I am—both in my hobbies and my career.

What I value most in the company is the supportive culture. Coming from a completely different background, I was nervous about the transition, but my team embraced me and helped me grow from day one. I love collaborating, problem-solving, and knowing I’m constantly learning. At Zinkworks, you don’t just “fit in”—you evolve. ”

Your future doesn’t have to look like your past—you’re never too late to start something new.”

Elaine Gorman
Office Manager

“ With over 15 years of experience in office management, I help keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes, I’m the go-to person for all things office-related! I manage day-to-day office operations. I have a strong background in administration and team coordination.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family, exploring new places, and staying active.

I joined Zinkworks in 2024, and what I enjoy most is the collaborative atmosphere and the strong sense of teamwork and learning. Since joining, I’ve had the opportunity to grow—surrounded by supportive colleagues who are always willing to share knowledge and help each other succeed. It’s exciting to be part of a company that values innovation and continuous development.”

Jessica Hoey
Junior Software Engineer

“ I started working with Zinkworks in 2023 as an apprentice software developer and have since completed that apprenticeship and moved into a junior role. I have worked on many different projects covering tasks like backend development, frontend development, documentation, testing and even some public speaking. Outside of work I play rugby with my local team. I have a black belt in Taekwondo and love sports in general. I also like reading and music.

I like the variety of work I’ve experienced with Zinkworks, being able to challenge myself in new areas has been immensely beneficial especially in the beginning stages of my career. It is also great to see women in various roles across the company but especially throughout management and leadership.”

Our goal is to develop a workplace where diversity is common, and the contributions and efforts of everyone are recognized and valued.
We seek to create an organization where women can thrive and reach         their full potential.

Women in Zinkworks

Empowering the Next Generation of Women in Tech

At Zinkworks, we inspire young women to see technology as a space to create, problem-solve, and shape the future.

As part of our commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion, we partnered with  Our Lady’s Bower Secondary School in Athlone. Aileen Cramer, Adriana Vieira, Richa Kakkar, Lorraine Duncan, Sharon Keane,     and Misha Bordetas shared their journeys as women in tech, offering insights and encouragement to students.

To support students’ digital learning, we donated computers to help unlock their potential and build confidence. This initiative reflects Zinkworks’ ongoing dedication to empowering, educating, and inspiring young women to become the leaders, creators, and changemakers of tomorrow.

Our partnerships with local schools reflect this commitment, helping students grow in confidence, curiosity, and a sense of belonging in the world of tech.

Continuing our mission, we collaborated with  Loreto Secondary School in Mullingar for an interactive Play-Doh Agile Workshop led by Serena Moore, Richa Kakkar, Sharon Keane, Charu Agarwal, and Misha Bordetas, bringing teamwork and communication to life through hands-on learning.

Alongside the workshop, Zinkworks donated computers to enhance the school’s digital resources — equipping students with the tools and confidence to pursue their own paths in technology.

Zinkworks Support Midlands Women in Tech

Midlands Women in Tech (MWIT) mission is to close the gender gap and help women and girls to embrace tech by educating and inspiring more women about the opportunities a career in tech can offer.

Inspiring the next generation is key to increasing the number of women in tech which will add essential diversity to our sector. Provide confidence and support to women to progress in their careers.

I’m a Delivery Director at Zinkworks with over 10 years’ experience in the IT industry, and I strongly believe that a diverse workforce in tech is essential for driving innovation and progress. Women, especially in leadership roles, continue to be significantly underrepresented. This gap drives me to support initiatives that create opportunities, raise visibility, and foster inclusive environments.
